Maintenance

Updates, security and small changes so your website runs reliably.

A website does not end at go-live. CMS updates, security issues and small content changes keep coming. Without ongoing operations, risks pile up, or your team loses time on work that is not core business.

We test updates to your website or application and prioritise security fixes. We agree an allowance for smaller changes. A short report shows what has been done and what still needs attention. Server infrastructure maintenance is part of hosting.

Who this is for

  • Companies running WordPress, a CMS or custom software
  • Marketing teams that change content but have no technical staff
  • Businesses after relaunch or migration that want long-term support
  • Leadership that wants to actively reduce security and update risk

Typical maintenance work

01

Monthly maintenance agreement

Regular updates to the CMS and its extensions, first in the test environment and then on the live website. Includes security checks and a brief monthly report.

02

Content care and minor adjustments

Text, images, new team members or service sections: changes handled within agreed maintenance hours.

03

Emergency recovery

When an update or incident causes damage: restore from tested backup, isolate the cause and document corrective measures.

How we work

01

Review access credentials and existing software, then prioritise open tasks

02

Agree update frequency, time for changes and incident contacts

03

Check updates in a test environment before applying them to the live site

04

Monthly report and a joint review of outstanding tasks each quarter

WordPress maintenance and changing agencies

Can you take over maintenance of an existing WordPress website?

Yes, including websites built by another agency. We review the technical condition, pending updates and available backups. We also establish which theme and plugin licences are still needed.

We then agree the required work and ongoing support. Updates are checked in a test environment first. Changing your provider does not require a website relaunch.

What do you need when we move from our current agency?

To start, we need an overview of your website and the available access credentials. This includes administration access to the CMS and hosting. For custom development, we also need the source code; existing documentation helps with the handover.

We identify anything missing with you and can coordinate the technical handover with your previous provider. We back up the current state before making changes. Your hosting can stay in place if it meets the necessary requirements.

Does this match what you need?

Tell us about your project. We will discuss a suitable approach and what it requires. Based in Siegen, Germany, we work with businesses across the country.
